Signing in & account security¶
Registering¶
Choose Register as a new user on the login page. You need:

After registering you are sent a confirmation email. Click the link in it to activate your account.
Invited to an organization?
If someone invited you, register or sign in using the same email address the invitation was sent to. See Organization settings & team.
Confirming your email¶
You cannot sign in until your email is confirmed.
- Didn't get the email? Use click here under "Didn't receive an activation email?" on the login page, or the Resend email confirmation page.
- Once signed in, an envelope icon appears in the top bar while your email is unconfirmed. Click it to send a new confirmation link.
- Check your spam folder.
Password rules¶
Your password must:
- be at least 8 characters long,
- include an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character (for example
!or#), - contain at least 2 different characters.
Logging in¶
- Enter your email and password.
- Tick I agree to the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy (required).
- Optionally tick Remember me to stay signed in on that device.
Lockouts¶
After 5 failed attempts your account is locked for 5 minutes. Wait and try again, or reset your password.
Forgot your password?¶
- Choose Forgot your password? on the login page and enter your email.
- Open the email and click Recover My Account.
- Enter your email and a new password.
For privacy, South Dune shows the same confirmation message whether or not the email exists.
If your email was still unconfirmed, completing a password reset also confirms it.
Changing your details or password¶
Open the user menu (your name, top right) → Profile.
- Personal details: first name, last name and phone number. Your username is fixed.
- Password: enter your current password, then the new one twice.
Changing your password refreshes your security stamp. Other signed-in sessions are signed out the next time they revalidate (within about 30 minutes).
Signing out¶
User menu → Logout.

South Dune uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, plus preference storage for your calendar view and light/dark theme. See the Cookie Policy.
