Quick start

From sign-up to your first billed session, in about 15 minutes.

1. Create your account

  1. Go to the South Dune sign-in page and choose Register as a new user.
  2. Enter your first name, last name, email and a password.
  3. Open the confirmation email and click the link. You cannot sign in until your email is confirmed.

See Signing in & account security for password rules and lockouts.

2. Create your workspace

The first time you sign in, the Organization Setup wizard opens automatically.

  1. Workspace details: business name, currency, time zone and subdomain. The subdomain is permanent.
  2. Plans & packages: add at least one package. A Standard Monthly Plan is pre-filled for you.
  3. Review & create: check everything, then choose Create Workspace.

See Workspace setup.

Set a trigger day for monthly packages

A recurring package only bills automatically if it has a Trigger Day of Month (1-31). Without one, no automatic charges are created.

3. Add members

Go to Members → Add Member. Enter the member's name, then link them to a billing account. The account is who pays; the member is who attends. One account can cover several family/related members.

Have a spreadsheet already? Use Importing members.

4. Assign a package

In the member editor, choose Manage Packages and tick the package(s) the member is entitled to. Depending on the billing model, a charge may post immediately (prepaid) or on the next trigger date (recurring). See Packages & billing.

5. Schedule a session

On the Schedule page choose Add Session, select a package, set the date and time, and (optionally) make it repeat weekly. Turn on attendance tracking if you want a register. See Scheduling sessions.

6. Take attendance and complete the session

Open the session, choose Attendance, mark members present or absent, then Complete. For usage-based packages, completing the session posts a charge for every member marked Present. See Attendance.

7. Review the account and issue a statement

Go to Accounts, open an account's ledger, record payments, and use Print Statement to preview or save a numbered statement. See Accounts, ledger & statements.
